Hiring a wedding consultant is not a luxury, it is a necessity. This is your wedding, and you will make all of the final decisions. However, our wedding consultant, with her training, contacts, and expertise, will handle many of the details (such as research and recommend experienced and well-qualified wedding vendors in your price range); coordinate rehearsal, ceremony, and reception; help you to avoid costly mistakes; answer wedding etiquette questions, and ensure that your wedding runs smoothly so that you can relax and enjoy your special day. Whether you need help with the initial planning stage, just directing the rehearsal, ceremony and reception; or everything from beginning to end, we have a plan to fit your needs. Any of our wedding consulting packages may be customized to fit your specific situation.
Remember, the best time to hire a wedding consultant is before you select your reception site and pay a deposit. Too often, brides and grooms find that they did not ask some very important questions which are critical in deciding on a reception site.
Consulting Packages
Initial Planning Package
This package includes:
* A three-hour consultation with our professional wedding consultant during which you will describe your dream wedding to us, and we will help you to set a budget with allocations for all elements of the wedding (ceremony and reception sites, officiate, wedding cake, florist, caterer, limousine service, DJ, etc.).
* Answering your etiquette questions such as the order of the procession, where parents should be seated if divorced, whether or not you should have a receiving line, how many ushers are required for the number of guests you expect, and so on.
* A list of well-qualified and reliable vendors in your budget range.
* Preparation of a time line for tasks to be completed in preparation for your wedding.
* A list of important questions to ask each vendor.
* Instructions for obtaining a marriage license.
Beginning to End Package
This package includes:
All of the above, and
* Having our wedding consultant accompany you to vendor interviews.
* Preparation of a wedding plan based on your vision of your wedding and coordination of all aspects of the wedding and reception.
* Extensive telephone consultations with bride and groom prior to rehearsal, wedding and reception.
* Our wedding consultant will review vendor contracts and contact all vendors the week before the wedding to confirm all services agreed upon, as well as time of delivery and/or setup.
* Preparation of a detailed rehearsal schedule with copies for everyone involved in the rehearsal.
* Preparation of a wedding-day agenda beginning with the bride's first appointment of the day and scheduling all events until the bride and groom leave the reception. Our wedding consultant will give copies to the catering manager, photographer, videographer, and DJ.
* Rehearsal direction
* Up to 12 hours of wedding-day direction
* Our wedding consultant works closely with the catering manager, photographer, videographer and DJ throughout the reception to ensure that the everything flows smoothly.
* Instructions for obtaining a marriage license.
Rehearsal and Wedding Day Package
This package includes:
* Up to five hours of consultation with our professional wedding consultant to review all of your wedding arrangements
* Preparation of a detailed rehearsal schedule with copies for everyone involved in the rehearsal.
* Preparation of a wedding-day agenda for everyone involved in the wedding
* Our wedding consultant will review all contracts and contact all vendors to confirm all services agreed upon and time of delivery and/or setup
* Rehearsal direction
* Our wedding consultant will pick up items (favors, cake knife and server, toasting glasses, pictures, etc.) from the bride to be taken to the reception site the day of the wedding.
* Our wedding consultant will take the guest sign-in book and pen from the ceremony site to the reception site.
* Up to 12 hours of wedding day direction. Our wedding consultant will arrive at the reception site at least one hour before the ceremony begins to pin on corsages and boutonnieres and to get everyone lined up for the processional. As soon as the bride and her father begin to walk down the aisle, our wedding consultant will go to the reception site to ensure that everything has been set up correctly before the guests begin to arrive.
For the bride who wants to do most of the planning and coordinating herself and requires help only in specific areas, we will be glad to customize a package to suit her needs. We also offer an hourly rate of $35.00 per hour.
